Renay [2022] - Good Without You [The Arrangement]

Renay are Danish soul/funk duo Nikolaj Lippert and René Nielsen. Their new single "Good Without You" appears to be only their second. Their last, and presumably their debut, "Fire To The Dancefloor" came out on 14 Jan 2022 which is more pop inspired, to my ears at least, but video clip included below.

Meadoe Janee [2022] - Soar [Dream Studios]

Meadoe Janee (Connors) is a new artist from Phoenix, AZ, who debut last May and in just a year has already released  fifteen singles. The best, from the few I've listened to, is her latest "Soar" released last Friday (29 Apr 2022) as much of the others are more pop/R&B oriented.

L.A.s Dewey Kenmore released this Modern/Latin soul tune "Before We Say Goodbye" (vocal and instrumental) digitally on 4 Mar 2022 which seems to have slipped by relatively unnoticed. It is also now available on clear or black vinyl 7" from tomorrow (6 May 2022) on Colemine subsidiary COSA.

It appears to be his first release.

HJ Soul [2022] - Desired [Self Released] (Full EP)

HJ Soul began his professional career singing cover songs but debuted in 2019 with an EP "Soul Desires" consisting of his own material. His debut single "My Heart" arrived in 2020. 

Last year (20 Jun 2021) he released a six track EP "The Only Love" which was posted but no longer seems to be available on digital platforms.

His latest releases include another six track EP "Desired" on 28 Apr 2022, followed on 30 Apr with a single "All In The Mind" which is a song not on the EP.

All tracks are mellow and soulful R&B.

Eric Scott [2020] - Peace Bomb [Itzall Goode Music]

Sadly Ukraine enters the eleventh week of war with Vlad The Invader increasing his bombardment in some vain (and vain) attempt to claim a victory for his people (subservants) for Victory Day celebrations on 9 May. 

This week's song "Peace Bomb" has been posted before when it was released in 2020 as the title track from the album of the same name by Washington D.C. blue-eyed soulster Eric Scott. It was also released on vinyl by LRK Records last October.

Tanqueray Hayward & Blue Soul Ten Live @ Pizza Express, Holburn, London 3rd May 2022 VIDEO

As regular readers will know owing to the banner ad displayed for weeks, Tanqueray Hayward performed at Pizza Express, Holburn, London last night (3rd May) supported by Blue Soul Ten. The show was a complete sell-out which was fantastic as her originally scheduled performance at the Jazz Cafe in January had to be cancelled.

Organiser, Simon Soulgigs, has posted a video of her singling the song that gained her recognition in the UK, "This Kind Of Love", which topped the UK soul charts in 2020.
