Dafne Adriana [2022] - Don't Get Obsessed With A Stranger [Self Released] (Full EP)

Dafne Adriana is a Dutch singer and songwriter based in London mainly known as a background singer. She recorded a couple of hip-hop tracks using the alias Faye. 

She completed a Jazz degree in 2018 majoring in vocals with a minor in production.

In the latter half of 2020 she decided to work on an EP "Don't Get Obsessed With A Stranger" with her friend, producer/pianist, Jurgen Gerlofs. Two singles from it have already been released The first single "Closure" (15 Oct 2021)  and "What I Wanna Do For You" (7 Jan 2022).

The full five track EP is released today (11 Mar 2022). Jazz flavoured neo soul of top quality, I can't choose a standout as they all sound good to me!

Tom Browne Feat. Jeanette Harris [2022] - Radio Vibe (radio single) [Innervision Records]

One for the jazz funkers. Legendary trumpeter Tom Browne has released a new single today "Radio Vibe" which features saxtress Jeanette Harris. Needless to say it's an instrumental.

Browne, of course, is best known for his 1980 smash "Funkin' For Jamaica" which featured the vocals of the lesser known Toni Smith (Thomassina Carrollyne Smith).

Mya K [2022] - Favourite [DMY Artists]

London based, Nigerian, Mya K (Mya Emem Kinlock) has released two version of "Favourite" today (11 Mar 2022), the original and a a slightly longer Len Remix. Best described as future soul. Being a bit of a traditionalist I think I prefer the original as the remix has rap and more 'frantic' beats.

Jermaine Hardsoul [2022] - Oji Nunu [A.M.P.] (Full EP)

Jermaine Hardsoul has released a six track EP "Oji Nunu" today but three of the tracks have already been released as singles "Sundress (Remix)" (1 Aug 2018), "The Black Woman Is God" (9 May 2021) and "Every Other Day" (2 Jul 2021) leaving only three new tracks. The best track, for me, is "Sundress (Remix)" which features Algebra Blessett) followed by "I'll Take You" which features Omar.

Gary Van Den Bussche has suggested that "Sundress (Remix)" may be a sample of this Whitney Houston hidden gem which was posted in 2020 as part of a trio on Whitney's 3 Semi-known 45s.
