Rosé Prosecco [2022] - Hood Sinatra [Flowerchild Records] (Full EP)

Rosé Prosecco is from Seattle, WA, and only has two singles listed on DSP's, which are the first two tracks on her new six track EP "Hood Sinatra" released yesterday (22 Feb 2022). 

However she has more material on her Bandcamp channel including another five track EP  "Love & Rage" from 1 Nov 2019 along with another two singles from the same year.

The new EP is edgy neo soul / hip-hop but with, what I describe as, sympathetic/rhythmic rap. I not a big fan of rap but I find this 'acceptable' and found the EP quite enjoyable because I guess the rap doesn't take over as it is always with a melodic and rhythmic backing.

Preyé [2022] - Red Wine [Self Released]

Preyé (Itams) is Nigerian, now living in Toronto. She's released around ten singles dating from 2015. Her latest single "Red Wine" was released on 11 Feb 2022 and very nice it is too.

She lists her influences as Yanni, Jill Scott, Enya, Brenda Fassie and Lauryn Hill.

Kiara Lanier [2022] - It Gets Better [Self Released]

Kiara Lanier from Chicago appeared in season 12 of American Idol in 2013. Since 2016 she's released eight singles, two of which were released this week. The first, "It Gets Better", on 20 Feb which has been superseded by "Empress" on 22 Feb 2022, but the former I feel is the better of the two.

Lydia Persaud [2022] - Good For Us [Next Door Records]

Lydia Persaud is from Toronto and was a member of folk trio The O' Pears who released an album in 2016. It seems she went solo in 2018 and has released just shy of ten singles and a full album "Let Me Show You" in May 2019. Her first release since then is her new single "Good For Us" released today (23 Feb 2022).
