Aliah Sheffield [2021] - Never Drinking Again [Basquiat’s Basement]

I think Aliah Sheffield was a bit pre-emptive with this new single released on New Year's Eve  titled "Never Drinking Again" as I wonder how many of us we're thinking that on New Year's Day!

She released a good album last April with Soul'd Out "Since You've Been Around" which I rated 8.8 so I was eager to listen to this new single and wasn't disappointed. Probably the best tune I've heard so far this year and there's more to come as this is the first single from a forthcoming EP.

DVZA [2022] - Out Of My Head [Self Released]

DVZA is Keianna Bishop from Toronto and this looks like it's her second (official) single (under this pseudonym at least). Her last was "Feeling you 2" from 12 Dec 2021. She has plenty of other music on her Soundcloud.

"Out Of My Head" was released today (6 Jan 2022) but I can't find it on either Spotify or YouTube as yet.

DymxPiece [2022] - Virgo [Self Released]

So 'hot off the press', released today (6 Jan 2022). "Virgo" appears to be the second single from an artist calling herself DymxPiece. Writer credits on her first single were to Dymond Dominique Crews and found her facebook page which looks like the same artist who lives in Brooklyn, NYC.

There is a clip of the song on her facebook which suggests that it was due for release last Feb (2021).

Thee Sinseers [2022] - What's His Name / It's Only Love [Colemine #CLMN-197]

Colemine are still pushing this one from Joey Quinones & Thee Sinseers which was first released back in May 2020 but released digitally owing to the delays due to Covid. I think the vinyl has all sold out but both sides are available digitally from 14 Jan 2022 from Bandcamp which is a bit confusing as "It's Only Love" has been available on Amazon since 16 Nov 2021 and "What's His Name"  since 29 May 2020 and was posted a year ago! However, I guess the Bandcamp release date is for the vinyl.

Sydaiya Rehema [2021] - Plenty Love [Olduvia Records]

Sydaiya Rehema is originally from Boston, MA, but relocated to East Africa (Tanzania). She released her first single "Plenty Love" in just over two years on 17 Dec 2021 which she describes as Afro-Pop/R&B.
