Thee Heart Tones [2022] - Don't Take Me As A Fool / Drownin' In Love [Love Soul Productions #LSP-04/05]

Thee Heart Tones are a new group from L.A. carrying the baton of Chicano lowrider rolas consisting of Jazmine Alvarado, Ricky Cerezo (organ), Jorge Rodriguez (drums) and Joshua Ajanel (bass).

Both sides have been previously released digitally in Sep and Oct and are being pressed on 7" vinyl due 5 May 2022 but you can grab digital copies now from Bandcamp or from one of the DSPs.

Lead singer, Jazmine Alvarado, released a solo single "U R Worthy" on 16 Dec. Although the spelling of her name is different (s not z) I 'think' she's the same artist unless it's a very big coincidence as they are both from L.A. and the voice sounds very similar.

Lucille Ghatti [2021] - 92' [Umiverse Records] (Full EP)

An 'album' (7 tracks) by Lucille Ghatti  "92'" which I parked as it was released on Christmas eve only to discover that she released another EP on Christmas day "Trippin" which is mainly R&B and all explicit. One has a title "put his ass (in the grave)" with prolific use of the 'N' word. One track may have potential though: "Path".

I think the first of the two is a better bet with a couple tracks that may be of interest: "Ride" and "Jream Life" with "Back 2 The Earth" and "Close My Eyes" potential 'growers'.
