Orgone [2021] - Moonshadows [3 Palm Records] (Full Album)

Orgone treated us to a sample of this, then forthcoming, album "Moonshadows" back at the end of May with the pre-release of "Show Me".

The full album has been released today (23 Jul 2021). It would appear that the next single is to be the instrumental "Lost U" as a video of dancing mushrooms 'funky fungus' (I kid you not) was released yesterday.

"Show Me" featuring Adryon De Leon is still the standout track, but "Concentration" featuring Gino Garofalo and "Lost U" are others to listen to.

Ina Forsman [2021] - All There Is [Self Released]

Ina Forsman is a new artist to me. She is from Helsinki, Finland but now lives in Berlin. One source (Discogs) states that she was a contestant in Finnish Idols in 2012 and another (Wiki) that she was in The Voice of Finland when she was 15 (around 2009).

She debuted with a self-titled album in 2016 and followed it up in 2019 with "I've Been Meaning To Tell You". She also appears on two albums by Blues Caravan. Despite two full solo album releases, the latest single, "All There Is", is only her fourth single to date which was released today (23 Jul 2021).

She performed with a blues band (Helge Tallqvist Band) - there's a concert of her performing in 2015 here, and also performed with Blues Caravan.

Her voice is full and 'honey-burnt', don't be fooled by the long slow-burning intro, as her voice builds an builds as the song progresses.

On the strength of her vocals on this single, I think it's time to check out her back catalogue. One of the singles is a cover of Aretha's "Chain Of Fools" in collaboration with Tasha Taylor and Layla Zoe in 2016, another two artists I've not previously come across!

Wynonna Stoové [2021] - Lavender [Self Released]

Wynonna StoovĂ© is from Arnhem in The Netherlands and is of Indonesian/Surinam descent.  If, like me, you have no idea where Suriname is, it's in north east South America between Venezuela and Brazil.

She released her second single "Lavender" today (23 Jul 2021) a full year after her debut "Retrograde" last year, although she has appeared as a featured artist on several other singles.

Pretty Sister [2021] - Catalina [Self Released] (Full Album)

Pretty Sister is an alias for Zak Waters from L.A. who has been active since 2007 with a band Blueskyreality. After they disbanded in 2011 he released his debut EP "New Normal". His first full length album "Catalina" was released today (23 Jul 2021). He writes, produces and sings all tracks.

It's a bit of a mixed bag, but has a few tracks that stood out on first listen (there may be others listening again) e.g. "Stay", "Want It To" and "Heart Knows" which features a female vocalist Rahkey who released a single "Breakin' Beds" in 2018.
