Cornell C.C. Carter [2021] - Not Possible [CDC]

Cornell C.C. Carter from the Bay Area has been a favourite with the UK soul crowd since his debut solo album "In The Moment" in 2016. Since then he has released another three albums, "Vindicated Soul" 2017 (a covers album), "One Love" 2018, and "Absoulutely" 2019.

After the success of his last album "Absoulutely" (and a few 45 releases on Izipho Soul) he is releasing a new single "Not Possible" on Friday (25 Jun 2021) from a forthcoming album "Next Life" due around Sep. It will be available on CD and vinyl from Patrick Biggerstaff's Izipho Soul.  

DJ Spen (Sean Spencer) is already working on a remix of "Not Possible" scheduled for release at the end of July.

In his career, Cornell has opened for many big artists including James Brown, Ray Charles, The Temptations, Kool & The Gang, The Whispers and Natalie Cole. He is an in-demand session vocalist and vocal coach and has appeared on many albums, including recently on Santana's latest album and on several Narada Michael Walden productions.

Ginge [2021] - Belly [Gillionaires] (Full Album)

Ginge, an independent artist from Utrecht (Netherlands), released her debut EP/album "Belly" yesterday (25 Jun 2021). It contains four tracks already released as singles i.e. "Trip Down", "Stop Calling", "Knuckles & Keys" (previous two singles are with .multibeat) and "Stranger".

It's a pleasant blue-eyed, neo soul album with my standout track being "Molly" on first listen.

Her first official release was "Crawl" in Sep 2019 which is quite a nice track so, as there are not many videos available for the album tracks, I've included it below, as it always good to see the artist perform. I also found a live session with .multibeat which features a track which doesn't appear to have been released (yet) called "Be A Thing" which I think is really good. 

She's released around ten singles in total to date along with the new album.

Ginge is Renée Rijpstra who appeared in "The Voice Of Holland" season 8 in 2017/18. She is also an actress who starred in a 2018 movie "Rode Zomer", she was 21 at the time so must be 23/24 now.

Son of Pearl [2021] - The Other Side Of Nowhere / Wonderful (The Cool Out Mix) [SixNine Records]

A 'twofer' from Son Of Pearl (aka Tedi (Eugene) Robinson from Miami) is the latest release on  SixNine records (jointly owned by Neil Pounds, Keith Bayes and Anders Jansson) on 21 Jun 2021. It has also been released as a double A side 7" on vinyl..

His catalogue goes back to 1999 with an album "Promellowisticfunkstacation" (with around another seven albums since), but even further back as a writer for a release on Capsun for Masque Feat. Angela & Cynthia "Giving Some" in 1984.

Raja-Nee' [2021] - Come Get This Love (The Samuel Archer Remix) [Self Released] (Sample Only)

Raja-Nee' "Come Get This Love" , one of the top tunes this year (although originally issued on ThaSaint's album "This Is Us" last Sep), is getting a new mix from Samuel Archer due out on 2 Jul 2021. Here's a short sample until it's released and I'll also post the original below to remind you of how good it is.
